Refund Policy — Angloteka

Effective date: 2026-08-31

1. Which purchases this covers

An Angloteka subscription can be bought in two ways, and refunds work differently for each.

Purchase in the app for iPhone and iPad. Payment is taken by Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. You need to request one through your Apple account — we have access neither to the payment nor to the ability to refund it. The usual route is reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, and select the purchase.

Purchase on the website. Payment is taken by Dodo Payments as the seller and authorised reseller (merchant of record) — the group companies Dodo Payments Inc., Dodope Payments Limited and Sarvapanchhi Technologies Private Limited. On your bank statement the charge appears as DODOPAY_ANGLOTEKA; the same party issues the invoice and remits applicable taxes.

The money is returned by Dodo Payments, not directly by us — at our instruction or on your request. We may not send you a refund ourselves: the contract of sale is with the seller. This does not affect whether you get a refund in the cases described below — only whose transfer it arrives as. Everything below applies to purchases on the website.

2. The general rule

We do not refund the unused part of a subscription period. That is the ordinary condition for monthly subscriptions, and it matches the policy of the seller, Dodo Payments.

The subscription does not renew once cancelled. So the way to avoid paying for what you do not want is cancellation: it stops the next charge, and the period you already paid for runs to its end. You can cancel at any time, including on the first day.

If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days. For digital services that right is lost once supply has begun with your express consent — and that consent is taken on the checkout page: the Dodo Payments buyer terms you accept there include the acknowledgement that supply starts immediately and that the right of withdrawal is lost. The features you paid for open as soon as the seller confirms the payment, so in practice the right lapses at the very start of the subscription. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence continue to apply, and nothing here reduces them.

3. When we do refund

The general rule above is about the unused period. It is not about mistakes, and there are two cases where the money comes back regardless of it:

In either case write to us. We will instruct a refund for the relevant period, and the seller will carry it out — the money comes back the way it went.

Outside those two cases, a refund is decided on each request individually and remains the seller's call: Dodo Payments may refuse, including where there are signs of refund abuse. Write to us anyway — there is nothing to be silent about.

4. How to cancel

Bought in the app — Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.

Bought on the website — in the subscription portal: customer.dodopayments.com. Enter the email the purchase was made with and sign in via the link you receive. The portal offers two routes: cancel at the end of the paid period — access continues until then — or immediately, losing access straight away. The second route does not by itself refund anything: a refund for the unused remainder of the month is a separate matter, under sections 2 and 3.

If you would rather not deal with the portal, write to us and we will cancel for you. One request only: do not leave it to the last day of the period. The seller asks to be told of a cancellation no later than 48 hours before the period ends; the portal gets around that limit, correspondence with us does not always.

The subscription portal is titled “Rada”. That is a trading name of the same seller that publishes Angloteka, not someone else’s site. We say so in advance, because an unfamiliar name on a cancellation page is more alarming than it ought to be.

5. What happens to your cards

Neither a refund nor a cancellation deletes your cards or your progress. Cards live on your device. After a subscription ends, the 20 most recent recognised cards stay visible along with every card you wrote yourself; the rest are hidden and come back in full if the subscription resumes.

6. If you are thinking of disputing the charge with your bank

Write to us or to the seller first — and this is in your interest, not only ours. The Dodo Payments terms provide for a USD 100 liquidated damage against a buyer who raises a chargeback without legitimate reason. We would rather nobody discovered that after the fact.

Almost everything that leads to a dispute we settle by email within days: a charge made in error, a charge after cancellation, an unrecognised line on a statement (it reads DODOPAY_ANGLOTEKA). If we do not reply, or refuse without good reason, your right to go to your bank remains yours, and nothing here takes it away.

7. How to reach us

Write to support@angloteka.app. We answer refund requests within 5 working days.

Please include the email address the subscription was bought with and the approximate date of purchase — that is enough to find it.
